Daddy Long Legs & Bloodshot Bill @ The Horseshoe, Sunday

NYC's Daddy Long Legs and Bloodshot Bill – together on the same bill?!! – could be the best thing you'll see all year at The Legendary Horseshoe Tavern!

Daddy Long Legs & Bloodshot Bill

New York City's own Daddy Long Legs are rolling through the legendary Horseshoe Tavern with their untamed brand of lo-fi blues, roots rock, and guttural soul on Sunday, November 16th at 7:30 pm!

Known for setting stages ablaze across the globe, this powerhouse band delivers every show like a thunderstorm — raw, electric, and impossible to ignore.

From reimagined standards to explosive originals, Daddy Long Legs transform every set into a full-blown fire ceremony. Don’t miss your chance to witness the blues--reborn and unchained.

Joining DLL is Montreal’s own Bloodshot Bill. Described by John Waters as “like Roy Orbison with a head wound,” Bloodshot Bill blends psychobilly, garage rock, and old-school country into a raw, high-energy experience. Daddy Long Legs joined by Wreckless Eric on new Street Sermons album

Daddy Long Legs' new Street Sermons LP was produced by The Black Lips' Oakley Munson who adds piano, organ and jug parts

Here's the scoop...

New York City's most diabolical Rhythm & Blues street gang, DADDY LONG LEGS, have just released their eagerly anticipated new album Street Sermons via Yep Roc Records.

The band's fourth studio album represents a wellspring of bottled-up feelings and emotions that need to be taken to the streets.

Produced by Oakley Munson of the Black Lips at Old Soul Studios in Catskill, NY the band expands upon a sound that’s all their own and features guest appearances from Punk Rock legend Wreckless Eric providing backing vocals on "Nightmare" and "Silver Satin" and The Lovin' Spoonful's John Sebastian on "Ding-Ding Man," In dark times DADDY LONG LEGS continue to shine their light everywhere they go, leaving a piece of themselves on stage every night because it’s in them and it’s got to come out.

Over the last decade these gentlemen have burned down houses the world over with their explosive fire ceremony and have amassed a cult-like following all their own with a tough to beat reputation for being one of the finest live acts on the road today. Written and recorded against a backdrop of political tension, riots in the streets and a deeply uncertain future, Street Sermons is a testament to triumph over adversity.

Get a copy of Street Sermons via Bandcamp right here. Check out the album release trailer, "Nightmare" and a couple of performance clips below.

Daddy Long Legs stomp back with Lowdown Ways in May

Daddy Long Legs' forthcoming Lowdown Ways album is due May 10th from Yep Roc. Check out a few songs below.

Here's the scoop...

DADDY LONG LEGS return with savagery and sophistication on their upcoming Yep Roc debut, Lowdown Ways. The 12 original tracks punch a necessary hole in the 21st Century landscape, both sonically and spiritually.

The expansive, new territory that the New York City-based trio cover on Lowdown Ways is thanks to producer Jimmy Sutton (JD McPherson, Pokey Lafarge) who applies his technical know-how to broaden the sound of such instantly memorable tunes as “Pink Lemonade” (co-written by McPherson), “Ding Dong Dang” and “Bad Neighborhood,” which resonate with the down-and-dirty roots that have always been DADDY LONG LEGS’ inspiration. Meanwhile, the band ventures successfully into unfamiliar territory with the pub-rock-style “Winners Circle,” the bittersweet acoustic ballad “Back Door Fool” and the dramatic album-closer “Wrong Side of the River.”

Written in the great cities of Brooklyn and Nashville and recorded on the Southside of Chicago at Hi-Style Studio, the beloved trio have created a record cinematic in scope that rides the crest of the new century with a beggar’s banquet of ancient spells, hollers and fuzz, steel guitars rapturous preaching, and of course, a DADDY LONG LEGS stompin’ beat.

Their stripped-down roots sound and in-your-face intensity has garnered them fans in their hometown and overseas, where they’ve toured with such kindred spirits as The Damned, The Sonics, Nikki Lane, and the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion.

DADDY LONG LEGS has been destroying urban roadhouses and swank nightclubs alike with their dirty blues and devastation boogie. Theirs is a fire-breathing, no-holds-barred attack that redefines American roots for a new generation of lo-fi punks and suave aficionados alike.

Check out "Mornin', Noon & Nite" along with performances of album tracks "Bad Neighborhood," and "Wrong Side Of The River" following Yep Roc's Lowdown Ways promo trailer.
