I feel incredibly honored and supported by our beautiful community of Smithers, it has been a very exciting few days seeing the super talented and fellow Smithereen Facundo Gastiazoro painting the wonderful mural with my image in downtown, ufff, words are not enough to express the immense gratitude that I feel, and I would like to take this opportunity to say this: the decision to paint this mural wasn’t only a celebration of my grammy win, but also art in general-and that can only form an even better community. I hope this inspires the many wonderful musicians of this town and beyond to keep creating, to keep chasing their dreams and never give up. Thank you to the Chamber Of Commerce, thank you to the town council, thank you Tourism Smithers, thank you to all of the amazing people involved in this initiative and thank you to Facundo and his beautiful family for doing it with so much love.
Me siento increíblemente honrado y apoyado por nuestra maravillosa comunidad de Smithers, han sido varios días de mucha alegría mientras veía al gran Facundo Gastiazoro pintar este bellísimo mural con mi imagen cerca del centro de Smithers, uffff, las palabras no me alcanzan para expresar la inmensa gratitud que siento y es por ello que tomaré esta oportunidad para decir lo siguiente: con pintar este mural la localidad de Smithers no está solamente celebrando mi reciente victoria en los Grammys, sino que también celebra el arte en general, y eso es algo que definitivamente nos hace una aun mejor comunidad. Con toda honestidad y desde el fondo de mi corazón espero que esto inspire aún más a los magníficos músicos de esta localidad así como también de otras comunidades a continuar creando y creyendo en el arte, a continuar siguiendo sus sueños y a nunca rendirse bajo ninguna circunstancia. Muchas gracias a la cámara de comercio de Smithers, a la municipalidad, al departamento de turismo de Smithers y a Facundo y su bella familia por pintarlo con tanto amor.
