Here's the scoop on the Nuggets 50th Anniversary celebration/autism benefit...
To celebrate the 50th Anniversary the release of the classic Nuggets: Original Artyfacts From the First Psychedelic Era, 1965-1968, benefit concert producers Wild Honey Foundation, original LP curator Lenny Kaye, and Rhino Records will present a live performance of songs from legendary LP and bonus material from the era as a benefit for the Autism Healthcare Collaborative. Lenny Kaye and Wild Honey stellar veterans Rob Laufer & Andrew Sandoval will lead the Wild Honey Orchestra (with Steve Stanley and Alec Palao sitting in) through this legendary garage/psychedelic song collection. Special Guests include Van Dyke Parks, Peter Buck, Peter Case, Evie Sands, Scott McCaughey, Peter Zaremba, Carla Olson, Mike Stax, Kathy Valentine and Elliot Easton along with Original Nuggets artists such as The Leaves' Jim Pons, Chocolate Watchband's Dave Aguilar, Love's Johnny Echols, The Seeds' Daryl Hooper & Paul Kopf, Electric Prunes' Jim Lowe, The Count Five and more tba.
