Since I can't see a way to reach the blog otherwise, may I suggest a topic for "whaddya mean you don't know ..."? Percy France who grew up with Sonny Rollins, played with Bill Doggett's first R&B group, recorded the classic Home Cookin album on Blue Note under Jimmy Smith, and spent the last 12 or 13 years of his life playing jazz around his native NYC. Or you could plan one for his birthday which was August 15 1928. www.percyfrance.info https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RkZtPhwj9uw&list=PLiIelr7moow5y4ymYV_P1BBCBCqCmtZtp&pp=gAQB
