Mr. Pharmacist celebrates The Fall @ The Linsmore Tavern, Friday

Mr. Pharmacist ring in the fall season with songs of The Fall at the Linsmore Tavern with an opening set from The 1985.

Here's the scoop from The Linsmore...
One of the all-time GREAT bands that has played the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave) returns for a Post Punk Party!! Mr. Pharmacist is BACK on Friday September 19th and will be playing their incredible Tribute to Mark E Smith and The Fall! Every time Mr. Pharmacist plays the Linsmore, it’s a SELL-OUT and an Electric Atmosphere!

Opening the evening and following the Post-Punk theme of the evening is The 1985 – A Tribute to the Sound and Soul of British New Wave! The 1985 recently performed at the Linsmore to a full-house and will definitely bring all of the hits from The New Wave and Post-Punk era! The show starts at 9pm, Ticket are $15 in advance, $20 at the door! This one will SELL-OUT, so don’t miss out on the party!

The Mr. Pharmacist guys are absolute MONSTERS and put on one helluva a show to a capacity crowd every time they play the Linsmore Tavern. The Fall are an English post-punk band, formed in 1976 in Prestwich, Greater Manchester. With an ever-changing line up, the Fall essentially consists of founder and only constant member, Mark E. Smith, who has quipped, “If it’s me and your granny on bongos, then it’s The Fall!! The Fall have a huge Cult following, as does Mr. Pharmacist themselves, which is evident every time Mr. Pharmacist plays the Linsmore Tavern and it’s at capacity!

Step into the shadows of the neon-lit underground with The 1985, a band that masterfully resurrects the iconic sounds of 1980s British New Wave and Post-Punk. With moody synths, driving basslines, and echo-drenched guitars, The 1985 delivers faithful and emotionally charged renditions of songs from legends like The Cure, Joy Division, Simple Minds, Psychedelic Furs, The Jam, and Killing Joke.

This isn’t just a tribute—it’s a transportive experience. Dark, stylish, and unapologetically atmospheric, The 1985 captures the brooding elegance and raw energy that defined a generation of music that danced on the edge of despair and desire. Whether you’re a longtime devotee of the era or discovering it for the first time, you’ll be swept away by the band’s authentic sound and evocative presence.

Put on your eyeliner, lace up your Docs, and prepare to lose yourself in the sound of The 1985. This is more than nostalgia—it’s a night where the past pulses with new life. Tickets are $15 advance, $20 at the door and available from the Linsmore Tavern site right here. Watch a few clips of Mr. Pharmacist in action below.
