Luaka Bop releasing expanded 2LP reissue of Pharoah Sanders' Pharoah album

The deluxe 2LP box set reissue of Pharoah Sanders' classic Pharoah album includes two 1977 performances of "Harvest Time" 


Here's the scoop...

On September 15th, Luaka Bop is reissuing Pharoah Sanders' Pharoah as a deluxe, embossed 2 LP box set. Alongside a remastered version of PHAROAH, his seminal record from 1977, are two previously unreleased live performances of his masterpiece, “Harvest Time." Includes a 24-page booklet with rarely seen photographs and ephemera, as well as interviews with many of the participants and a conversation with Pharoah himself.

Neil Young's Harvest Time documentary coming in December

The making of Neil Young's classic Harvest album is the subject of the film Harvest Time screening December 1st. Watch the trailer. 


Here's the scoop...

Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Harvest album on Thursday, December 1st with a worldwide theatrical screening of the previously unreleased docu-film that takes you behind the album's creation. Filmed in 1971, Harvest Time includes never-before-seen performance and rehearsal footage of "Heart of Gold", "A Man Needs A Maid", "Alabama", "Old Man" and more.

In addition to the film, this screening event includes an introduction by Neil, recorded exclusively for movie theatre audiences, highlighting the significance of Harvest and how the recording of the album and the movie came together. Of course, the release of the documentary film coincides with the roll out of the 50th anniversary vinyl and CD boxset repackaging of the Harvest album which will be available at retail outlets the following day, Friday, December 2nd.
