Dartmouth College professor Andrew Simon – author of Media Of The Masses: Cassette Culture In Modern Egypt (Stanford University Press) – will be doing a special presentation on Egyptian music cassettes and political dissent at Brooklyn's Record Grouch (986 Manhattan Ave. in Greenpoint) on Saturday (June 28) at 7 pm EDT with special musical guests Alia Haju and Mohamed Salah.
