Here's the scoop...
After Mick Harvey and Amanda Acevedo released a cover of the Jackson C. Frank song "Milk & Honey on their first collaborative album, 2023's Phantasmagoria in Blue, they were asked to contribute to a Jackson C. Frank tribute album. That led to reworking three more songs by the legendary Buffalo-born singer/songwriter – whose lone studio album was produced by Paul Simon in 1965 – and they just kept going.
Soon enough, they had enough for a stand-alone album which became the 11-song Golden Mirrors: The Uncovered Sessions, Vol. 1 which will be released digitally by Mute on March 28th (you can pre-order it right here) with an exclusive gold vinyl Australian release via Impressed Recordings.
