Whatitdo Archive Group's Alexander Korostinsky tries Turkish-style psych

Songwriter/producer Alexander Korostinsky goes solo with the limited-run "Bones of God" b/w "Altin Maske" single due June 17.

Here's the scoop...

Record Kicks delivers yet another 7" heater – this time by Whatitdo Archive Group's Alexander Korostinsky, an accomplished songwriter/producer making his debut as a solo artist with a heavy psychedelic seven-inch swinger available at selected stores on June 17th and limited to 300 copies worldwide. Korostinsky gives a nod to the sound of 60s/70s Anatolian psych while staying true to his unique songwriting style and recording approach. On the A side is "Bones of God,"a twisted Turkish tune  featuring an electric saz and sitar dancing across wicked drums and his distinctive bass playing. With "Altin Maske" on the flip side, Korostinsky imagines an entrancing trip across the Bosphorus charted by David Axelrod whose twists and turns guide the phased out drums and electric saz into a beautifully psychotic meltdown.

Meticulously recorded and produced entirely on a Tascam 388 by Korostinsky at his own Archive Group Studios, this 45 is imbued with our man's love of vintage analog recording techniques. One listen and you'll notice that these songs are begging to be sampled – a must have for any serious crate-digger. You can pre-order a copy of Alexander Korostinsky's new seven-inch via Bandcamp right here. Check out "Bones of God" below.
