Enchanters' new "Torture Chamber" single for Transistor 66 comes with Tales From The Crypt-inspired sleeve art. |
Here's the scoop...
Toronto power trio Enchanters are releasing their new 7" single, "Torture Chamber!" b/w "Back Stabbers U.K." on May 5th via Winnipeg's last bastion of real rock 'n' roll, Transistor 66.
Led by the high-kicking, fast-talking guitarist-vocalist Classy Craig Daniels (who you might know from ferocious garage-punk duo the Leather Uppers), drummer Ter (the City Sweethearts) and bassist Derek B (Do Nothings), the three-piece specialize in frantic high-energy rawk ‘n’ roll with more anthemic chants than a temple full of monks, thunderous beats that would scare most dogs and good ol’ fashioned guitar solos.
After blasting onto the Canadian music scene with their rough and rowdy seven-inch High Heel Roller Skates, the Enchanters were set to cast their spell on the country before the pandemic put a kibosh on those plans.
Instead of touring, they got to writing and conjured up sonic incantations that worked in touches of glam, freakbeat and melodic power-pop melodies into their garage-punk witch’s brew for the new seven-inch "Torture Chamber" / "Backstabbers U.K.," set for release May 5 on both black vinyl and a limited edition red-splatter edition.
