Highly-touted 10-piece Australian Afro-funk crew The Liberators – endorsed by Brit tastemakers Snowboy, Russ Dewbury, Gilles Peterson and Dom Servini – wanted to launch their self-titled debut for Record Kicks in style so they enlisted filmmaker Ken Karpel to come up with an appropriately badass video clip for the album's lead-off single Rags To Riches. This is the blaxploitation flick parody they got.
